One month prior to the competition, there is a “launch” meeting in which teams are given their cases.  Cases typically include a challenge or dilemma faced by a corporation in which students must draw on strategy and vision from various areas (accounting, finance, management, etc) to develop a successful proposal to address the challenge.  On the day of the event students are given an allotted time to present their case before a panel of judges often consisting of corporate leaders and faculty members.  Judging takes place throughout the day and recruiters from each company actively engage in presentations and interface with students.  Winners are awarded prizes that may include guaranteed interviews with the corporation, invitations to corporate headquarters, and/or scholarships.
