Supply Chain Student Initiative

The Rutgers Business School Supply Chain Student Initiative is a university sponsored, MBA student initiative to promote Supply Chain Management studies and activities.

Our goal is to link education with industry by providing opportunities for students to interact with industry representatives to increase their awareness of innovations and opportunities in SCM. We do so by arranging for guest-speakers, learning sessions, site visits and facility tours

Executive Board

Jason, Co-President
Jason is a first-year MBA Candidate concentrating in Supply Chain Management. He has three years of Key Account Management experience with Pfizer, where he specialized in managing the key account business of Wal-Mart. His professional experience involves executing FMCG retail sales, building inventory models at store level to maintain proper inventory and planning sales forecasts to prepare sales calls and production run for promotion activities. As Co-President, Jason focus is on building new connections between companies and Rutgers MBAs. His goal is to bring more valuable events to the club members.
Sachin, Co-President
Sachin Is a first-year MBA candidate concentrating in Supply Chain Management. He has four years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement in the chemical manufacturing industry where he concentrated in developing relationships with new partners and time and cost optimization of processes. He is now transitioning to a career in Supply Chain Consulting, beginning with his internship at PwC as a Supply Chain Consultant. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Mumbai University. As Co-President, Sachin wants to build a good platform for all Rutgers Supply Chain graduates to share knowledge and build networks while increasing the visibility of the club.
Rongnan, Treasurer
Rongnan graduated from Columbia University in the City of New York, with a Master in Electrical Engineering. Now she is pursuing a MBA in Supply Chain Management and Finance. After one year experience of software engineering in Altera, she became the co-founder of Senorld, a start-up company that provides wearable devices for pets in both the China and America markets. She was exposed to wide array of projects dealing with procurement, spending analysis, quality management audit and data analytics. As the Treasurer, she will manage the budget planning and executing to ensure the smooth progress of all events and activities.
Nakul Nagarajan, VP - Events
Nakul Nagarajan is a first-year MBA student majoring in Supply Chain. He has a background in Supply Chain working for Parker Hannifin where he was responsible for Direct Procurement. He has successfully worked on projects ranging from optimizing inventory, restructuring warehouse to integration of lean Six Sigma into the procurement process. Aside from work, he enjoys swimming and following sports. As Vice President -Events, Nakul looks forward to host Guest speakers who can give a perspective into real life supply chain challenges. He also would bring in more collaboration and networking opportunities between part time and full time students to leverage each other's experiences.
Sneha Dewani, VP - Technology
Sneha graduated from the University of Mumbai, India, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication. She has three years of combined experience in SAP consulting experience with the leading IT consulting firm, Capgemini India Pvt Ltd and a manufacturing start-up. Her professional experience involves implementing SAP process mapping and continuous improvement plans for Fortune 100 clients. She also worked for a manufacturing start-up in India as a Business Development Manager in a cross-functional role, in Supply chain management and Marketing. Sneha is currently pursuing an MBA, specializing in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. Sneha has a passion for Indian classical and Western dance, enjoys listening to Indian music and loves coffee. As Vice President of Technology, Sneha intends to strengthen SCSI’s existing relationship with industry experts and increase the visibility of SCSI.
JP, VP - Alumni Relations
JP Palandrano graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering. He worked for three years as a laser engineer assisting in LASIK and other eye surgeries. His role also included managing refractive inventory levels for a number of hospitals and surgery centers in the Northeast. At Rutgers Business School he is pursuing an MBA and concentrating in Supply Chain Management. His first supply chain role after transitioning from engineering will be a Procurement internship with Novartis. JP enjoys golfing, exercising, and cheering on Syracuse’s sports teams. As the VP of Alumni Relations, his goal is to utilize the Rutgers MBA network to enhance the professional development of each SCSI member.
Shruti Gandhi, VP - Site Visit
Shruti is a first year MBA student concentrating in Finance & Supply Chain Management. She has three years of business consulting experience, where she specialized in maintaining client relationships and helping them solve their business problems. She has worked on various engagements like Internal Audits, Performance Improvement engagement, IT-SOX and Business Continuity Management engagements. She likes to travel and explore new places, she also likes to read and listen to music.
