MBA Student Government Association

The Rutgers Business School MBA Student Government Association (SGA) promotes the interest of Full-Time and Part-Time MBA students attending classes on the Newark and New Brunswick campuses. The goal of this organization is to facilitate communication between the administration and students. Through various academic and non-academic activities, the SGA aids the professional and personal development of the students.

Executive Board

Mohit Hardikar, President
Mohit is a full-time MBA student concentrating in Supply Chain Management. After working in the automotive industry as an engineer, Mohit decided to pursue an MBA to enhance his operations management skills, gain a macro perspective on business and economy and transition to a leadership role in the industry. As SGA president, his goal is to ensure smooth functioning of all student clubs, effectively liaison with faculty, school management and the students, drive change and optimize the SGA and club work process and enhance student experience at Rutgers Business School. Mohit is open to suggestions/opinions/grievances and works to resolve issues in every way possible.
Jonathan Chalik, Vice-President (Full Time)
Jonathan Chalik graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in American History, where he organized over 20 shows and concerts as Event Manager for the Musician’s Collective. Then, Jon spent three years as a restaurant manager for Chipotle and Starbucks, representing two of the strongest brands in the country, and he is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing & Strategy to continue building strong brands and delivering greater value to consumers. As a Vice-President of the SGA, Jon represents the full-time MBA students and works to improve the student experience inside and outside the classroom. Jon is also the President of RBS Toastmaster, where he and his leadership team work to help all MBA students improve their communication, presentation, and interview skills.
Hong Lin, Vice President (Part-Time - New Brunswick)
I am a part time MBA student. I graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a B.S in Industrial Engineering. I’m currently pursuing an MBA concentrating in Finance and supply chain. I have close to 10 years of experience in various industries such as distribution, manufacturing and sales. I’m currently serving as a board member at a local non-profit business. I will ensure that the voices of part time MBA students are heard, the concerns getting addressed. I really enjoy having conversations, if you happen to run into me, please feel free to come and talk with me. I promise I won’t bite.
Ravi Teja Prativada, Treasurer
Ravi Teja Prativada, graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He spent three years working as Process Analyst for a manufacturing firm before launching a Frozen Yogurt Franchise Business (Menchie’s) in 2013 where Ravi had the experience of handling finances for the business. He is currently pursuing his MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain Management. As the Treasurer of SGA, Ravi will make sure that all student organizations receive the properly allocated funds and that they are utilized appropriately so that SGA and RBS organizations can enrich every student’s MBA experience. Ravi’s favorite activities include adventure sports and travelling.
Akhilesh Mouli Kuchimanchi, Secretary
Akhilesh has four years of technology consulting experience at Accenture. He has worked across functional consulting, procurement, project management, and business analytics in diverse industries such as fresh-food retail, conventional retail, and chemical manufacturing industries. He is pursuing an MBA with an extensive focus towards Supply Chain Management. As the Secretary of the SGA, Akhilesh ensures effective functioning among all MBA student organizations through personalized and public communication. From his prior work experience and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, he has developed a strong passion towards supply chains in the manufacturing and technology spaces. Outside work, he enjoys playing pool (snooker), cooking, and exploring new places. He's also big on restaurants in NYC and helping people in their careers.
Sindu Parvathaneni, Student Senator
Sindu Parvathaneni graduated from Rutgers University with a major in Psychology. Here, she served as the Vice-Chair for her campus and was the Co-Founder of a social inclusion group called Students Organizing Change in Society. She spent the next two years working for a non-profit organization called Teach For India where she taught students from a low income school. She was also involved in some marketing and finance initiatives for the school. She is currently pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Marketing. As Student Senator, Sindu will work on making sure students concerns are heard and their ideas are represented. She also serves as the V.P. of Marketing for the Net Impact Club.
Aniket Goel, Social Chair
Aniket Goel graduated from Delhi University with a major in Accounting in 2013. He has three years of experience managing a tires and tubes manufacturing business. He started as an accountant and was promoted to be an Assistant Manager within a year. Aniket is currently pursuing MBA with a specialization in Finance. In addition to his role as the SGA Social Chair, Aniket is also actively involved at Rutgers Business School as the Treasurer of the Finance Club and VP of Events for RBS Toastmasters.
Kao-Sheng Lin, Technology Chair
Kao-Sheng Lin received a bachelor’s degree in Science with a major in Physics from FuJen Catholic University an MBA degree from Tatung University. He has 4 years of experience in shipping industry, where he had different roles and responsibilities such as sales and international business. He is pursuing an MBA with a concentration of supply chain management. As SGA’s Technology Chair, Kao-Sheng coordinates technology related issues among all clubs to provide a better student experience at Rutgers. In addition, he is also the V.P. of International Affairs at RBS Toastmasters.
