Paul Bennett has extensive experience as a practitioner of economics and finance.  He spent over twenty years at the Federal Reserve, in both research and operational positions, and he was editor of the New York Fed Economic Policy Review.  For seven years he was chief economist of the New York Stock Exchange, and he has given talks and seminars in a many countries.  Bennett is a Fellow of the Columbia University Program in Law and Economics and serves as an economic advisor to the NY State Assembly.  He has published widely in academic and policy journals.
