Diversity Council

The Office of Diversity, in partnership with the Dean’s Office, launched RBS’s Diversity Council in December 2013. RBS’s Diversity Council members utilize their experience and expertise to develop and support methods of advancing the presence of diversity and inclusion of underrepresented minority groups at Rutgers Business School. The council is comprised of dynamic Student, Faculty, and Corporate Leaders.

The council will function as ambassadors in developing initiatives to recruit, retain, and graduate underrepresented minority students at the undergraduate levels at RBS. Members will also identify partnership opportunities between RBS and the business community for the purposes of: promoting mutual gain through activities like student recruiting, mentoring, consulting arrangements, internship opportunities, and involving faculty members in practical business problems, solutions, arranging for guest lecturers from industry, supporting state-wide outreach operations, and bringing students into direct contact with business executives. RBS’s Diversity Council keeps the Office of Diversity Programs informed of key trends, changes, and developments in business so that Rutgers Business School can more readily integrate “real world” matters into curriculum and other activities.
