Humberto “HAP” Patorniti is a 2003 EMBA graduate whose 35-year career in the hospitality industry has been defined by his passion for leading growth initiatives, building high performing teams, and for growing profitable business for service organizations. His international background, education and business expertise expands across healthcare, education and offshore oilrigs businesses.

HAP was working for Sodexo USA and three months after graduating with his MBA, he was offered the CEO and President position for Sodexo Mexico. In his 8 years as "team México" he tripled revenues, increased cash on hand by 10 fold, and led "team Mexico" to reinvent the Company’s brand to meet Mexico’s market spending behaviors and consumer preferences. Deeply committed to helping those less fortunate, he was the genesis of a partnership with the Mexican Department of Education, creating an adult degree completion program which enabled Sodexo employees and family members who had not been able to complete their Grammar or High School education, to do so.

Since retiring from Sodexo in 2013, HAP has not only become more active in business, but has ventured into higher education. As a Rutgers University faculty adjunct, he imparts professional wisdom into the newly created, Corporate Strategy course at the Rutgers Business School. He also continues to be a true mentor to business executives and graduating students. Outside of academia, he has joined Tenacity, Incorporated, the nation’s leading client retention consulting firm, with more than three decades of experience in the field.

HAP holds a Bachelor of Organizational Management from Nyack College, New York and a Master of Business Administration from the EMBA Program at Rutgers Business School. Additionally, he attended the European Business School – Schloß Reichartshausen, Oestrich-Winkel, Germany and Cambridge International Land Institute – Cambridge, England.
