Leslie Naamon
Chief Operating Officer, CareSource

Chief Operating Officer in Six Months

Within six months of graduation from Rutger EMBA, Leslie Naamon was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for CareSource. As COO, Leslie is responsible for CareSource’s Service and Operations. Functionally, her responsibilities include the processing environment for enrollment and claims; service call center operations for members and providers; network operations for hospital, physician and ancillary contracting and service; and marketing activities.

Leslie plans to utilize her EMBA knowledge to advance CareSource's strategic vision for a customer-centric service model by improving member and provider relationships through the delivery of enhanced services and operational efficiencies. By leveraging CS’ robust technological infrastructure, Ms. Naamon will fully integrate best practice business processes as strategic resources to sustain CS’ long-term competitive advantage in its marketplaces.

Before joining CSMG, Leslie was Vice President of Network Operations and Strategic Planning for Horizon Mercy, a 400,000 public sector managed care organization and partnership entity of Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Keystone Mercy Health Plan of Pennsylvania. In this role she negotiated over 500 million dollars in medical spending that netted more than $40 million in savings. She also co-developed the medical budget, led the strategic planning process, and ran provider operations. Leslie attributes much of her success in managing multiple large scale complex and highly matrixed projects to her development and implementation of an employee leadership and mentoring program, “Equal Partnering”, which energizes, motivates, and empowers employees to consistently deliver outstanding results.

Leslie was also an adjunct professor at Rutgers Business school--in the short gap between graduation from the EMBA program and her big promotion and move to Ohio, Leslie taught a blockbuster course in Business Strategy in the RBS undergraduate program!

Note from the Director, Dr. Langdana

Leslie almost did not make it. She had to apply late, for a variety of reasons. The class was full--we accept only 45-50 students and we are usually full by late July, and this was now August. Leslie refused to consider waiting a year. She insisted that she would 'make us proud' . I believed her; Leslie's energy is irresistible. I managed to find her a seat in the class, and, believe me, it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made!"
