Tara Reynolds Vice President, Customer Marketing, Individual Life Insurance; Prudential Financial

Tara has led the 160-person Customer Marketing organization for Prudential’s Individual Life Division since 1999.  During that time, her customer conservation team has delivered over a half billion of saved life insurance premium and well over a billion of saved annuity assets under management…all by talking with customers in a very segmented way via direct mail, Internet and the phone, and explaining to them the value of their holdings with Prudential.

Complementing these customer retention activities, Tara leads the Customer Experience function, commissioning market research and articulating the value of enhancements across Prudential Financial product lines and channels.  In 2006, Tara led the creation of Prudential’s first life insurance and annuity direct sales channel, with hopes to expand the pilot to become a major source of revenue for the firm in the future.

Prior to assuming the Customer Marketing role, Tara joined Prudential in 1991 as a Management Development associate, having been selected for a program featuring one-year assignments in multiple disciplines located in various Prudential corporate and regional offices.  Highlights from this experience include serving as: a financial analyst  for a Brazilian subsidiary and for Pruco Life of Taiwan, an actuarial analyst creating illustration systems, a customer complaint call center supervisor, and a research manager creating market segmentation intelligence for the local field offices.

In addition to earning an M.B.A through the Rutgers Executive program in 2003, Tara holds a B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science/Public Administration from Providence College, where she was ranked #1 in her major.  She holds the CLU and CASL industry designations and is a Registered Principal / Representative (NASD Series 6, 63, 26).

Tara’s community activities including volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, serving as a “Women in Finance” Mentor, and serving in Prudential’s Individual Life Insurance Mentoring program.  She lives in Cranford, NJ and is an avid reader, sports participant and Boston Red Sox fan.
