EMBA Faculty: Loubna Erraji-Benchekroun
Professor Loubna Erraji teaches the Case Method class to Executive MBA students which focuses on analyzing and presenting real-life, complex, and ambiguous case studies. The Case Method class puts emphasis on increasing students’ proficiency with written and oral communication, collaboration and team work while solving day-to-day business problems through the analysis of organizational business challenges, the combination of business concepts, practical exercises and interactive simulations. Mainly, Prof. Erraji seeks for the students to:
- Apply multidisciplinary concepts (i.e., strategy, leadership, innovation) to case study analysis
- Understand the big picture, the underlying dynamics of a business, and their role as executives
- Apply all learning to improve presentation skills, decision-making and problem solving.
Prof. Erraji combines her real life experience as a management consultant, her academic experience teaching “Integrated Business Applications: Team Consulting” and “Management Skills” classes to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as her global experience working with clients and business partners across multiple continents (U.S., Europe, Asia and Africa).
Prof. Erraji also teaches a session on “Cross-Cultural Challenges in the Workplace” that focuses on exploring practices and challenges faced by executives and their teams in today’s organizations through in-class discussion of fundamental concepts related to cultural diversity. The class discusses the importance of understanding and managing cultural differences and intra-group diversity in global organizations, and why effectively managing cultural diversity is a competitive advantage.
Dr. Erraji has more than 15 years of experience holding Academic and Corporate positions. She earned a Doctorate in Molecular Biology and Pharmacology from René Descartes University in Paris, and an MBA in Pharmaceutical Management & Marketing from Rutgers Business School. She is extremely passionate about helping her students succeed in their careers, and is currently the Director of the Rutgers Executive MBA Career Management and Alumni Relations.
“Professor Erraji is an absolute asset to the Executive MBA program at Rutgers University. She is approachable, knowledgeable, and places great effort in assisting her students to excel. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as an instructor and for her assistance since graduating.”

“My first experience with Dr. Loubna Erraji was as a student when she taught “Cultural Diversity in Global Corporations”. Besides learning a great deal from her, I was impressed with her depth of knowledge and her ability to connect with executives at multiple levels and the quality of insight she brought in helping us understand the sensitive and often challenging aspects and touch points of managing a diverse workforce in today’s global marketplace. In her new role as Director, EMBA Career Management, she availed herself and in no time provided the guidance necessary to elevate my professional resume to an executive level, helped me focus on executive interview skills and techniques, and provided continuous input, advice and suggested strategies throughout the offer and negotiation process. I am proud to say her coaching and encouragement was critical in helping me land my new executive position.”
