Richard Mammone
Richard Mammone has started several successful high-tech companies. He has published over 150 papers and four books, supervised numerous graduate students and serves as consultant to industrial and government agencies. He also serves as the liaison between Rutgers University and Industry by coordinating networking events, web sites and projects that combine business and technology interests. Dr Mammone is the Director of the BEST Institute which is primarily concerned with starting new companies based on Rutgers intellectual property (IP). He is also the Director of the CAIP center which provides Cyber infrastructure platforms for academic and nonprofit institutions. Dr. Mammone’ research interests are in computational pattern recognition and in the processes involved in the innovation of new technological products where new product platforms can be designed within an existing product’s value chain.
