Project Management, Supply Chain Environmental Management: Green Purchasing

Dr. Matthew Walsman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick.  Dr. Walsman earned a PhD from the College of Business, School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University. His research interests in supply chain management are in the context of service firms and sustainability. More specifically, Matt has published work on the impact of environmental certifications on firm performance and how manager and customer decisions can influence service operations outcomes. Matt is trained in empirical research methods as well as behavioral laboratory studies and enjoys cross-disciplinary work. Dr. Walsman's work is published in the Journal of Operations Management and Cornell Hospitality Quarterly.

Prior to his Ph.D. Dr. Walsman earned an MBA at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and worked four years in NYC as a consultant.
