Supply Chain Management MBA Concentration
Rutgers Supply Chain Management ranked #3 in North America by Gartner Supply Chain Leaders
Supply Chain Management is one of the strategic MBA concentrations at Rutgers Business School. The curriculum was designed by faculty with input from industry experts to ensure that it is both comprehensive and current. All MBA students take “Operations Analysis” as part of the core curriculum. In addition, students electing to concentrate in supply chain management must take a required 3-credit course, “Supply Chain Strategies,” plus an additional 12 credits of elective courses in two primary areas of focus: Procurement and Sourcing Management and Supply Chain Technologies. Students in the supply chain management concentration also have opportunities to earn course credit while working on real-world industry projects sponsored by corporations affiliated with the Rutgers Center for Supply Chain Management. The Center, which enjoys the participation of a multidisciplinary faculty and strong leadership from senior executives from prestigious companies in the region, conducts cutting-edge research and serves as a valuable business resource. Preparing students to meet and exceed the expectations of future employers is a critical mission of Rutgers' supply chain management program. Companies actively seek Rutgers graduates for their supply chain management hiring needs, both for internships and full-time opportunities. The Supply Chain Student Initiative (SCSI) led by top students, partners closely with local corporations to familiarize students with industry hot topics and business leaders. Each year, the Center’s Advisory Board grants scholarships and leadership awards to MBA students who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to the field of supply chain management.
