Now you don’t have to live in New Jersey to take the popular Rutgers Mini-MBA™: Social Media Marketing.

The Center for Management Development, a joint center between Rutgers Business School (RBS) and the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR), has added an online version of the course formerly only taught on Rutgers’ Livingston campus.

The various Mini-MBA™ programs that CMD offers that address how to use the new media landscape in business have created quite a buzz. “These unique online programs address the many issues surrounding this new phenomenon and provides a roadmap to help individuals and firms navigate social media to gain a competitive edge,” said Eric Greenberg, Faculty Chair of the Online Social Media Marketing Mini MBA™ . “The online format allows pursuers of professional education to take advantage of the unique faculty and programs offered by Rutgers CMD regardless of their location.”

The Rutgers Mini-MBA™: Social Media Marketing program helps participants design, manage, and track social media campaigns. It provides the theory behind social media and explores the levers that influence its effectiveness. Participants will gain practical skills and learn the latest technical tools through in-class exercise and hands-on projects.

“Getting insight and information from some of the biggest names in social media today has been priceless and the material covered is not only relevant but engaging,” said alumnus Justin Leshynski, Vice President, Davanti Digital Media. “I can honestly say that I use the information learned in the program in the course of my daily activities, managing dozens of social media strategies and campaigns for multiple businesses.”

CMD is also launching the Mini-MBA™: Mobile Marketing program. The new program's groundbreaking 360-degree curriculum exposes participants to the full range of mobile tools, technologies, best practices, and marketing strategies – enabling them to track ROI and optimize content for mobile environments. Participants can also earn a variety of credits and certifications from the Mini-MBA™ programs, including academic graduate credit from the School of Management and Labor Relations and Rutgers Business School – Newark and New Brunswick.
