Supply Chain Management undergraduate students network and meet with sixteen companies
The Fall 2011 Undergraduate Supply Chain Meet & Greet was recently held at the Livingston Student Center on the New Brunswick campus.
Students and company representatives talk supply chain management
110 students attended the event which featured as many as sixteen companies including:
- ADP
- ATC Industrial Supply
- BASF
- Becton-Dickinson
- Bristol-Myers Squibb
- Burlington Coat Factory
- Church & Dwight
- Ford Foundation
- International Flavors & Fragrances
- Johnson & Johnson
- Kuehne + Nagel
- L’Oreal
- Toys R Us
- Tyco International
- Verizon
- Watson Pharmaceuticals
Students enjoyed talking with and finding out more about the companies. The experience opened their eyes to the possibilities in supply chain regarding small to medium-sized enterprises as well as the larger corporations. As one of our company representatives said, “I was most impressed by the caliber of the young men and women who I met, and hope to have the opportunity to work with many of them in the months ahead on our Supply Chain Intern program. My experience has been that such young people are reflective of the teachers, instructors and administrators who guide them in their education. I commend you for a job well done.”
The Rutgers University Supply Chain Association (RUSCA), an undergraduate student organization, attends the meet and greet
In a recent supply chain management study by Gartner Supply Chain Leaders, a survey of how well leading universities are educating professionals to contend with a rapidly changing landscape, the Rutgers Business School Supply Chain Management undergraduate program tied for second and the graduate program tied for third in the nation.
