Rutgers Master of Financial Analysis alumnus putting his best foot forward

“I've always wanted to work in Manhattan and be out on the east coast.” Andrew Harte

Andrew Harte: graduated 2018, Rutgers Business School – New Brunswick

Job: Financial analyst, Investec Asset Management, New York

What he does: “I work on a rotational program between emerging market solutions, credit, and international equity.”

Graduate degree: Master of Financial Analysis

Andrew Harte had one year of eligibility remaining to play football and he was looking for a one-year graduate program partnered with the CFA, that could help him begin his career in New York. “What better place than Rutgers?” said Harte. “My first week here Rich Knupp [then senior associate athletic director for development; currently associate dean for advancement at Rutgers Business School] organized a team trip to Bank of America and Goldman Sachs in New York,” Harte said. “This is the kind of opportunity Rutgers’ proximity to New York provides.”

“Professor Fred Hoffman was my most important mentor and guide at Rutgers Business School. We still keep in touch and text each other,” Harte said.  “Professor Hoffman introduced me to Loc Vukhac, CFA, Investec asset management regional director - northeast institutional, who pointed me toward my current position.”
