Former Assistant Professor of Professional Practice
Carmen is a Former Assistant Professor of Professional Practice for Rutgers Business School. Over the years, she has taught management skills, business strategy, international business, and job search skills to over 1,500 students.
Carmen is passionate about making an impact on workplaces through building managerial capacity in areas such as emotional intelligence, building teams, managing diversity, influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making. She also enjoys teaching professional development skills, including proactive job search, interviewing, and networking.
Carmen draws on her 20 years of professional experience, during which she has held roles at CIGNA HealthCare, Swiss Reinsurance, Kroll Zolfo Cooper, Sumitomo Mitsui, Citigroup, and Baxter Healthcare.
In addition to her teaching, Carmen consults for business. She delivers leadership development programs and consults on organizational culture transformation and employee engagement.
Carmen is a certified Project Management Professional, Certified Change Management Practitioner by Prosci, and is currently pursuing the Organizational Development Certification Program.
