One Night, Many Futures gala honors dean, raises money for student scholarships
Over 100 alumni, faculty, friends and family gathered at the Rutgers Club to honor 10 years of Rutgers Business School Dean Lei Lei’s leadership. During Lei’s tenure as dean, Rutgers Business School (RBS) has focused on curriculum innovation, and strengthened partnerships with industry to enhance student career outcomes. Total enrollment has grown 40 percent to approximately 11,000 students, making RBS one of the largest public business schools in the U.S.
Hosted by the Rutgers Business School Alumni Association (RBSAA), the event featured warm tributes from RBSAA leadership led by Dianne Yurek, president of RBSAA, who was proud of the organization’s efforts to, “invest in student success,” the theme of the night.
Every year, the RBSAA awards about 20 scholarships directly to students. A silent auction with luxury trips, jewelry, sports and celebrity memorabilia was held during the gala to help raise money for the RBSAA scholarship fund.
