Impact through engagement. Success through relationships.

Diversity Programs

At Rutgers Business School, we firmly believe we can make a difference in our communities by engaging with them. We are working with our corporate partners to give more scholarships to students from low-income families, help first-generation minority students gain a strong foothold at college and retain the future talent of New Jersey. Providing access to higher education for these students will lead to enhanced economic growth in our cities.

One of the most effective ways for us to do this is through actively engaging local high school students and their families through pre-college programs run through our Office of Diversity Programs. Through RBS P.L.U.S. (Pathways Leading to Undergraduate Success) programs, a package of multicultural educational programs, we seek to aggressively recruit high-performing, underrepresented candidates from area high schools, giving them early exposure to careers in business and nurturing their educational and professional journey.

B-STAR enabled me to be successful at RBS. Being part of the B-STAR family gave me access to the dean's office, where I gained valuable mentorship.

Mentoring Programs

Building meaningful relationships is critical to educational and professional success. We are committed to giving our students access to relationships that will move them forward, and our industry partners are committed to inspiring the next generation of business leaders.

Through the Office of Mentoring Programs, our undergraduate students have access to a variety of mentoring initiatives that are designed to transform them from students into successful and responsible business professionals. Those accepted into the program get one-on-one access to business professionals committed to helping them grow, and our industry partners get access to bright students who can become valuable future hires.

The program allows the mentee access to a professional in their field of interest and access to guidance they may not get in a classroom setting. The greatest benefit for me is giving back and helping the mentee succeed.
