Dr. Liao's research interests are in empirical corporate finance, international finance and fixed income securities. Her current research focuses on the motives and consequences of minority block acquisitions and cross-border mergers. She also examines the special role of sovereign acquirers in cross-border M&As. Her prior research on the pricing of corporate yield spread has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and her paper on Chinese B-shares has been accepted at Journal of Financial Economic Policy.
