Speaker: Dr. Rana Kapoor, MBA ’80 RBSG, Founder, Managing Director and CEO, YES Bank Limited, Mumbai India

About Dr. Kapoor
Dr. Rana Kapoor is the Founder, Managing Director & CEO of YES BANK. As a professional entrepreneur, since 2003, he is progressively establishing a high quality, state-of-the-art private Indian Bank with a vision of “Building the Best Quality Bank of the World in India” by 2015. Under his leadership, YES BANK has steadily evolved as the “Professionals’ Bank of India” with exemplary business and financial outcomes as evidenced in the financial results since inception, highest RoA/RoE, and the best asset quality amongst leading Public and Private Banks in India. YES BANK has adopted global best practices, the highest standards of service quality and operational excellence.

Dr. Kapoor received an  Honorary Fellowship from All India Management Association (AIMA), the prestigious President’s Medal from Rutgers University, a Doctorate in Science (Honoris Causa) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, India’s foremost and oldest Agri University, for his contribution to the Food & Agribusiness sector in INDIA. Dr. Kapoor holds a MBA degree from Rutgers’ University in New Jersey, U.S.A. (1980), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from the University of Delhi (1977).

Dr. Kapoor has recently been acknowledged as the BS Banker of the Year 2011 by Business Standard, and earlier received the Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards 2011, the Bombay Management Association ‘Entrepreneurial Banker of the Decade’ award, was ranked as the 2nd Most Valuable Indian CEO of the Year (Large-sized category) by Businessworld magazine in November 2011, and  had earlier received the Indian Business Leader of the Year award at the FICCI-Horasis Global Indian Business Meeting 2010 in Spain. He has also received the Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award at the PHD Chamber Awards for Excellence 2007, and was earlier awarded the Start- up Entrepreneur of the Year 2005 at the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards by an eminent jury.

Speaker: Mei-Wei Cheng, MBA 1999, President and CEO, Siemens North East Asia - Siemens Ltd., China

About Cheng
Mei-Wei Cheng assumed his current position as CEO Siemens North East Asia, President and CEO Siemens Ltd., China on July 1, 2010, with full responsibility for all Siemens activities in China Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mongolia. Before joining Siemens, Cheng spent more than ten years at Ford Motor (China) Ltd. from 1998 to 2009, where he, as Chairman and CEO, and later Executive Chairman, steered the company to continuous successes and established Ford among the top auto brands in China. He was also a Corporate Group Vice President of Ford Motor Company. Cheng started his career in 1972 with AT&T, and later became President of AT&T China. Under his leadership, AT&T established a major presence in China.

Cheng has been dedicated to the promotion of understanding between China and the world. He was a Vice Chairman of “Committee of 100” and was elected to the Board of Governors of American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham) for several years and was the Vice Chairman of AmCham in 1996. In recognition of his contribution to the economic and social development of China, Cheng has received numerous awards from the Chinese Government including the Magnolia Silver Award from Shanghai Municipal Government, the Chongqing Three Gorges Friendship Award, CIFIT Award for Distinguished Persons from Multinational Companies, China Auto Industry Outstanding Person Award, Honorary Council Advisor of the Chongqing Mayor’s International Economic Advisory Council and an Honorary Citizen of Chongqing. In April 2011, Cheng was elected Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and was later appointed the International Senior Economic Consultant of People’s Government of Shaanxi Province.

Cheng holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering/operations research from Cornell University, an MBA from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of Dartmouth’s Tuck Executive Program and MIT’s Program for Senior Executives.

Speaker: Ms. Linda M. Bowden, Regional Northern New Jersey, PNC Bank

About Bowen
Linda Bowden is the New Jersey regional president of PNC Bank.  Bowden is responsible for providing executive leadership and supporting client relationship and business development initiatives across the firm’s lines of business in the region, including corporate and institutional banking, commercial banking, and wealth management, as well as supporting the firm’s community-based activities.

In 2005, Bowden was named one of the “25 Women to Watch” by U.S. Banker magazine. Prior to joining PNC in 2009, she was the managing director of Wachovia Wealth Management. Bowden began her career as a teacher for seven years in Wyckoff, N.J. and authored two children's math books. Bowden is also active in a range of community programs and currently volunteers her social work expertise to The Family Service League in Montclair, N.J. She also serves on the board of directors of the Adler Aphasia Center in Maywood, N.J., the Liberty Science Center board of trustees, the board of directors of Youth Consultation Services, the board of directors of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, the board of directors of Choose New Jersey, the board of trustees of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the board of trustees of the William Paterson University Foundation. Bowden is also a past member of the alumni advisory board for Fairleigh Dickinson University. In 2011, she was named as a PINNACLE recipient, achieving the highest honor awarded to alumni.

Bowden earned an M.S.W. from Columbia University, an M.A in institutional counseling from William Paterson University, an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.A in education from Rowan University. Additionally, Bowden completed the National Trust School at Northwestern University, earned her Certified Trust Financial Advisor designation and has completed numerous sales management and leadership programs.
