Business of Fashion Concentration & Minor

New Business of Fashion program offered at Rutgers University-Newark

The Business of Fashion program was designed to bridge the gap between creativity and business acumen. It is for artistic individuals who want to solidify their understanding of business, as well as for business students who want to learn how to apply solid business practices to the arts industries. Rutgers Business School has a long-standing history of leveraging its connections, reputation, and proximity to the epicenter of global business. These same advantages with New York City’s fashion industry present unprecedented opportunities for our future business of fashion graduates.

Specifically, Accounting for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses (29:382:103) can be replaced with Introduction to Financial Accounting (29:010:203); Finance for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses (29:382:203) can be replaced with Introduction to Finance (29:390:330); and Marketing for Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses (29:382:202) can be replaced with Introduction to Marketing (29:630:301).

RBS also offers a minor in entrepreneurship. The three basic business skills courses can substitute for the "preliminary core requirements" now required for the entrepreneurship minor.
