Rutgers Technology Commercialization Initiative

The Collaborative for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization

Coming Soon

The Rutgers Technology Commercialization Initiative (RTCI) is the outreach component of the Rutgers Collaboration for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization. Directed by our program manager, CTEC students and alumni will work as teams of interns on a project-by-project basis. We will use our network of mentors, subject-matter experts and advisors to prepare recommendations for any stage along the commercialization path, from early IP evaluations to final business plan preparation.

These services include, but are not limited to:

  • Commercial potential evaluation for IP disclosures
  • Grant proposal review and support services
  • Business model and strategy development for early stage startups
  • Business plan competition assessments
  • Business plan preparation for new technology-based ventures

Based on a model that has been in place at North Carolina State University for the last decade, RTCI enables CTEC to enhance the student experience by providing an opportunity to further develop the skills they learned in the CTEC two-course sequence and embedding them in the local entrepreneurial/innovation ecosystem.

At the same time, local inventors, tech transfer offices and research facilities gain access to our faculty and network of partners, advisors and subject-matter experts, while receiving independent evaluations and recommendations backed by a team of seasoned specialists in early-stage technology commercialization.
