Assistant Professor
Alex Van Zant is an Assistant Professor of Management and Global Business at Rutgers Business School. His research broadly focuses on strategic social interactions, with a focus on the factors that motivate people to mislead others, their responses to others’ ethical transgressions, and their strategic use of nonverbal channels to influence others. It has been published or accepted for publication in journals such as Psychological Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
Professor Van Zant holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining the faculty at Rutgers Business School, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Wharton School’s Center for Risk Management and Decision Processes. He teaches Management Skills.
