Business Insight: Companies can help get their employees to the polls

Assistant Professor of Management Carmen Bonilla-Horta suggests that one of the ways business leaders can demonstrate corporate social responsibility is by encouraging their employees vote.

In a short audio presentation, Bonilla-Horta, who is also CEO of the consulting firm Propelled Inc., identifies the benefits for companies and the steps business leaders can take to encourage workers to vote, including flexible scheduling and providing information about voter registration and reminding them to cast their ballots.

“It is about supporting employees with information,” Bonilla-Horta tells listeners. “It is not about telling them how to vote.”
