A Celebration of Life - In Loving Memory of Professor Thomas York
November 20, 1950 - July 17, 2019
Professor Thomas York, a beloved faculty member at Rutgers Business School, passed away this past July. A mentor and friend to countless students, alumni, and faculty and staff colleagues, he inspired all of them with his devotion and diligence. He was an enthusiastic and dedicated role model for not just the Supply Chain Management community but for all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
His tireless efforts on behalf of his students included innovative instruction in supply chain management courses, enriched by his extensive experience in industry; coaching and leading student teams to top prizes in competitive case competitions; enhancing their presentation and computing skills with Microsoft Excel workshops; working with student organizations and corporate contacts to support them in seeking successful career paths; and, especially, reaching out and connecting with them on a personal level.
A memorial for Professor York will be held at Rutgers Business School - Newark, October 30th, 5pm-7pm in the Third Floor Lounge.

For those wishing to contribute to a Memorial Fund in his honor, which will be used for a plaque to be placed in the Undergraduate Lounge and for undergraduate scholarships, contributions may be made to the RBS Memorial Fund.
