Rutgers Accounting Doctoral Symposium (RADS) 2025
Join us for the second annual Rutgers Accounting Doctoral Symposium (RADS) on May 29th, 2025, hosted online via Zoom. RADS provides a unique opportunity for accounting PhD students to present research, collaborate, and receive feedback to foster their academic careers.
Rutgers Business School is excited to announce the second annual Rutgers Accounting Doctoral Symposium (RADS), which will take place on Thursday, May 29th, 2025. The symposium will be hosted online via Zoom, providing an excellent platform for accounting doctoral students to share innovative research ideas, engage in collaborative discussions, and receive constructive feedback. This event aims to enhance preparedness for the academic job market and foster the development of research within the accounting field.
Unique Symposium Features:
- Student-Led Initiative: RADS is organized by doctoral students with guidance and support from faculty members.
- Collaboration and Feedback: The symposium facilitates a collaborative environment, allowing students to receive detailed feedback on their work from peers and faculty.
- We invited original, solo-authored paper submissions from current accounting Ph.D. students (excluding final-year students) spanning various topics and methodologies.
- Five papers have been selected for presentation. Each selected paper's author will receive a "Best Paper Award" and a $1,000 monetary prize. Additionally, the best presenter, as rated by audience feedback, will receive the "Best Presenter Award" and an additional $1,000.
Call for Participants:
The symposium is open to all PhD students, faculty members, and other interested individuals who wish to engage with cutting-edge accounting research. Participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with the presenters, ask questions, and provide feedback that contributes to the academic growth of the researchers. Registration is required but free of charge.
- Audience: Open to all PhD students and faculty members.
- Interactive Feedback: Participants will have the opportunity to influence the Best Presenter Award decision by providing feedback.
