Ann D. Bagchi, PhD, DNP, FNP-C, APN is an Associate Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at Rutgers’ Business School. She received her PhD in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in family practice from Rutgers’ School of Nursing in 2017. Dr. Bagchi has more than 20 years of research experience, having worked previously at Rutgers’ Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research and Mathematica Policy Research, based in Princeton, New Jersey. She has experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, including analyses of Medicare and Medicaid claims, primary survey research, and key informant interviews/focus groups. Her research focuses on health equity issues, including research on interventions to reduce health-related stigma and models for improving telehealth delivery for members of underserved populations. She serves on several national, state, and regional committees focusing on these issues. Examples include her role as a member of New Jersey’s Governor’s Advisory Council on HIV, STIs, and Viral Hepatitis; Board President of Health Families and Communities; and Chair of the Research and Evaluation Committee of the Newark Eligible Metropolitan Area/HIV Health Services Planning Council. Dr. Bagchi is also an active nurse practitioner, seeing patients in residential settings.
