Miklos Vasarhelyi, the KPMG distinguished professor of accounting information systems and director of the Rutgers Accounting Research Center and Continuous Auditing & Reporting Lab, recently received the prestigious Collar of Merit from Brazil's Tribunal of Accounts of the Union (TCU).
"In 1989, I started giving lectures on continuous auditing to professional organizations," Vasarhelyi said, "but it has been only for the past two years that I am seeing continuous auditing being adopted."
