Rutgers Institute Honors Leaders in Corporate Social Innovation

The Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI) hosted its inaugural Corporate Social Innovation Excellence Awards at the Rutgers Club, with 82 attendees. The awards event recognized organizations, groups, individuals, and students who demonstrated the potential for business to achieve social good. 

Finalists included Amanda Nesheiwat of the Hudson County Authority Improvement, BASF’s Environmental Remediation project, Danielle Mitchell of Black Women in Clinical Research, Diana Blankman of Sanofi, Fundação Dom Cabral, Hermann Services, HP, Jens Molbak, Mateen Abbasi (student), Merck for Mothers, NatureSweet, NJ League of Conservation Voters, NJ Resources, Novo Nordisk Inc., Rutgers Undergraduate Women in Business (student group), Sanofi US, Sarah Pomeranz of Consultants for Impact, Schneider Electric, Social Change 2.0 AI Coach, Society of Decision Professionals, TimberTurn (organization co-founded by an RBS student), Tobias A. Fox of Newark Science & Sustainability Inc., and Usman Khan (student).

There were three categories of awards: Individual/Student Awards, CSI Excellence Awards, and Overall CSI Excellence Awards. Winners for the Individual/Student Awards were Amanda Nesheiwat, Danielle Mitchell, Rutgers Undergraduate Women in Business, and TimberTurn. 

CSI Excellence Award winners were NJ League of Conservation Voters, NJ Resources, NatureSweet, Novo Nordisk Inc., and Schneider Electric.  

The top two Overall CSI Excellence Award winners were Merck for Mothers and HP for its Digital Equity Accelerator.
