Rutgers Business School is excited to announce the third annual Rutgers Accounting Doctoral Symposium (RADS), which will take place on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026. The symposium will be hosted online via Zoom, providing an excellent platform for accounting doctoral students to share innovative research ideas, engage in collaborative discussions, and receive constructive feedback. This event aims to enhance preparedness for the academic job market and foster research development in the accounting field.

  • Student-Led Initiative: RADS is organized by doctoral students with guidance and support from faculty members.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: The symposium facilitates a collaborative environment, allowing students to receive detailed feedback on their work from peers and faculty.

Call for Submissions: 

Eligibility: We invite original, solo-authored paper submissions from accounting Ph.D. students enrolled for the academic year 2026-2027.

Topics: Submissions may cover a wide range of accounting topics, including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Auditing, Tax, Accounting Information Systems, and various research methodologies (Empirical, Analytical, Experimental, Surveys, Field Studies)

Awards:

  • Best Paper Award: Five papers will be selected for presentation, with each author receiving a $1,000 monetary prize.
  • Best Presenter Award: The best presenter, chosen based on audience feedback, will receive an additional $1,000.
  • Submission Guidelines:
    • Format: Submit papers in PDF format.
  • Deadline: Submissions must be received by Wednesday, April 1, 2026 (11:59 PM EST).
  • Notification: Authors of accepted papers will be notified by May 1, 2026.
