Jeffrey M. Hermann

Jeffrey M. Hermann is currently chairman and CEO of Hermann Services, Inc., which was started by his great grandfather in 1927. He is an alumnus of Rutgers Business School’s Executive MBA Program and currently lives in Princeton with his wife, Luisa and two children, Sophia, 11, and Jonathan, 10. He graduated from Rider University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After graduation, he took an entry level management role in the company’s Texas office. His career continued to focus on the trucking and warehouse industry as he took on different roles and increased responsibilities at Hermann Services Inc.
In 2005, he was promoted to regional vice president and three years later, he was appointed to a seat on the company’s board of directors. In 2009, he launched Hermann Cares and its annual giving campaign, which has supported a variety of organizations including Toys for Tots, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hugs for Brady, Wreaths Across America, Project Protect our Children, and many food banks across the region.
After being promoted to vice president of sales and marketing for Hermann Services in 2011, he began taking on more visible leadership roles in the community. He has served on boards for organizations such as the YMCA of South Brunswick, the South Brunswick Economic Development Committee, the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, the New Jersey Motor Truck Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Jersey, where he helped to raise more than $100,000 through the society’s Muck Fest event. In 2015, he graduated from Rutgers Business School’s Executive MBA Program and was promoted to executive vice president of operations for Hermann Transportation, Inc. Two years later, he was named president of Hermann Transportation, Inc., a position he held until being named chairman and chief executive of Hermann Services.
He currently sits on the dean’s board of advisors at Rutgers Business School. Last year, he was instrumental in launching Rutgers Business School’s Road to Supply Chain Leadership Program. Lastly, Hermann Cares, his charitable organization actively contributes over $200,000 annually to an array of deserving charities, enriching countless lives along the way.
