Mehrdad Samadi
Assistant Professor
Mehrdad Samadi is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Rutgers Business School. He has a Ph.D. in Finance from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and previously served at the Federal Reserve, where he covered Global Financial Markets for the Board of Governors, and on the faculty at The SMU Cox School of Business. Professor Samadi's professional experience also includes time at FINRA, the CFTC, and Natixis Corporate and Investment Bank.
Professor Samadi's research spans several areas of Financial Economics and has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Review of Finance. This research has received several honors, including: The Journal of Finance Brattle Distinguished Paper in Corporate Finance Prize, Q Group Roger F. Murray Prize for Quantitative Finance Research, Northern Finance Association Best Paper Award in Asset Pricing, and several other best paper awards in Market Microstructure.
Mehrdad has taught several courses at both the Graduate and Undergraduate levels, including: Corporate Finance, Financial Derivatives, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Financial Econometrics.
