Assistant Professor of Professional Practice
Natalia Jouan is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at Rutgers Business School, where she brings both academic expertise and extensive industry experience to the classroom. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA), she is dedicated to helping students bridge the gap between theory and practice in business and accounting.
Before joining Rutgers, Professor Jouan spent over a decade in the mortgage industry, holding positions with Bank of America and other leading financial institutions. Her professional background in finance and real estate, along with her experience as a real estate investor, provides a strong foundation for her teaching and student mentorship.
She is the recipient of several honors, including being a two-time recipient of the Thomas H. Mott Jr. Award for excellence in teaching—an honor voted on directly by each year's graduating class—as well as the Professor of the Year award from Beta Alpha Psi, recognizing both her professional accomplishments and her commitment to student success.
At Rutgers Business School, Professor Jouan strives to prepare students not only with the technical knowledge required for success but also with the practical insights needed to thrive in their professional careers.
