U.S. Student Visa Guidance
Most international undergraduate students must hold an F-1 Student Visa to enroll full-time at Rutgers Business School. The F-1 visa permits full-time academic study, limited on-campus employment, and approved internships related to the academic Rutgers will issue the required Form I-20 and provide ongoing immigration advising throughout the student’s enrollment.
Visas such as the B-1/B-2 tourist visa or M-1 vocational visa do NOT permit enrollment in Rutgers academic degree programs. Students must maintain full-time enrollment and consult Rutgers before changing courses, employment, or travel plans. Rutgers Business School is committed to supporting international students and families from admission through graduation.
Which visa do I need?
Most students need an F-1 Student Visa.
Can I study on a tourist visa?
No. Tourist visas do not allow enrollment in U.S. degree programs.
Can I work while studying?
Yes. On-campus work is permitted up to 20 hours per week during the semester.
