Wes Joseph

My corporate career has been defined by leading complex global supply chain operations at Johnson & Johnson, MedTech, Estee Lauder, Becton Dickinson, et al, where I managed billion-dollar spends and drove critical organizational transformations. As important, is my approach to leading global team members of technical, proficient, and excellent-skilled individuals to execute on our strategy to deliver on our supply chain performance goals year over year!

Giving back to the next generation is a core value of mine. From my time at Brooklyn Tech H.S. and my collegiate years at Cornell University, I have seen firsthand how impactful a dedicated educator can be. I have spent years visiting my former schools, speaking at NSBE events, as well as Rutgers/RBS to talk and lecture to students. My goal is to use my unique perspective as both an industry leader and a first-hand product of strong educational mentorship to inspire and prepare early college students for their own academic journeys. My current role at Rutgers has highlighted my passion for translating these high-level corporate strategies into foundational lessons for the next generation of leaders.

I look forward to contributing to the RBS Supply Chain Management program goals of fostering the next SCM professionals ready to take on the challenges of corporate America in the 21st century. 

I will focus on the following as my guiding star to help teach, foster, and mentor the next generation of SCM leaders!

• Utilizing my technical knowledge, as well as business insights gained from my Electrical Engineering degree from Cornell University and my MBA from UNC, Chapel Hill.
• Industry-to-Classroom Translation: I will bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. I plan to utilize real-world examples of complex supply chain challenges to support our text and research insights. I also plan to augment my syllabus to invite current industry colleagues to share the latest industry challenges and strategies to address.
• Mentorship Experience: Throughout my tenure in corporate roles, I have mentored and upskilled diverse teams. I find immense value in guiding students through their collegiate experience.
