Rutgers ranked among nation's best colleges for business majors

Money magazine's 2017 edition of Best Colleges for Your Money listed Rutgers as No. 35 in the country for undergraduate students planning to study business.

Money magazine's "Best Colleges for Business Majors" specialty ranking, which considers such factors as affordability, educational quality and career payoff, put Rutgers ahead of New York University (No. 38), Fordham (No. 45), Villanova (No. 43) and Boston University (No. 38) for business students.

Rutgers Business School shared the No. 35 spot with Michigan State University.

The ranking highlighted such things as median SAT scores, estimated price without aid, the percentage of students receiving financial aid and the early career earnings of business majors.

Among the "Best Colleges for Business Majors," University of California-Berkeley was listed as No. 1 followed by Washington and Lee (Virginia) and University of Pennsylvania. Complete ranking

Overall, Rutgers University was ranked No. 49 on the Best Colleges for Your Money list. The ranking looked at such considerations as affordability, educational quality and alumni success. Money's complete list of "Best Colleges for Your Money."

Of the 711 schools included on Money's list, Princeton was rated No. 1 followed by CUNY’s Baruch College and the University of Michigan. Click here to learn more about how the ranking was done.
