You are considered an international applicant to the Part-Time MBA program if you are not a US citizen or permanent resident at the time of your application.
In addition to the application checklist, you should be aware of the following special instructions that apply to your application for admission. Because of the additional documentation required, be sure to start the admissions process as soon as possible and adhere to all application deadlines. Students seeking an F-1 Visa are not eligible to apply to the part-time program.
Transcripts
Applicants with international degrees are not required to have their educational credentials evaluated by a NACES evaluating agency.* Applicants should upload their unofficial transcript and degree certificate from all school(s) attended after high school. If the transcript(s) and degree certificate(s) are not in English, a translation must be provided from a professional translation agency.
*Please note that RBS reserves the right to request an applicant to have their transcript(s) evaluated by a NACES member such as WES, ECE, or Spantran. Such a situation where this could happen is that the applicant is holding a **three-year bachelor’s degree. The RBS Office of Graduate Admissions will reach out to the applicant with this request. For a list of NACES members, go to: naces.org/members
**Selected three-year Indian bachelor’s degrees may be considered equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree without an evaluation as long as they have been earned in Division I/First Class (GPA 3.00 or better) and the awarding institution is currently accredited by India’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a letter grade of “A” or better. Using the above standards will allow you to know if you are eligible to apply to the graduate programs at Rutgers Business School.
English Language Tests
You must submit the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or Duolingo test if English is not the official language in your country. Applicants from countries with more than one official language, including English, (Pakistan, India, Hong Kong, etc.) are not exempt from taking the exam. This requirement can be waived for applicants who have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree in the U.S.; another English-only speaking country (England, Australia, etc.); or if the medium of instruction was English at the school(s). This requirement can also be waived if you have three (3) or more years of full-time work experience in the United States.
