At Rutgers Business School, we do things differently! In the MBA program, we set you up for success on day one! How do we do this? With the MBA Edge course. The MBA Edge is the co-curricular backbone of your first-year experience, a structured course, running weekly on Wednesday mornings, built to develop everything the classroom doesn't have time to cover, but that's just as critical to your success as an MBA. Through Edge, you'll get case competition training that sharpens the analytical and presentation skills recruiters actively look for, hands-on business workshops that build practical, applied knowledge, and networking training that teaches you how to walk into a room or a Zoom call and build real professional relationships with confidence.
The MBA Edge is also where career advisement gets tactical: dedicated workshops on resume building, cover letters, and interview training give you repeated, structured practice well before you're in front of a recruiter. And it's not all formal, The MBA Edge also includes outside-of-the-classroom events like happy hours, which matter more than they might seem; some of the strongest relationships with classmates and the program community get built in those informal moments.
