The Scarlet Student Fund is funded through a $1 million gift from Dan Davidowitz in 2025 and supported by a two-semester course designed as a training program that provides on-campus internship opportunities. The fund is a merging of minds among Part-Time MBAs, Full-Time MBAs, and select graduate and undergraduate honors students.
The courses are a collaboration between Dr. Rose Liao and Executive-in-Residence Dan Davidowitz to help student analysts develop investment frameworks that support their long-term success. Students build a theoretical foundation of rigorous research, gain practical experience in managing investment portfolios across sectors, and learn to become effective communicators.
Why Is It Unique?
The Scarlet Student Managed Fund is a unique opportunity at Rutgers Business School for students to expand their knowledge of managing portfolios and take an in-depth look at the ins and outs of investing.
This training program includes:
- Academic-Industry Collaboration
- Quantitative and In-Depth Research
- Pitch, Debate, and Vetting Stocks
- Mentorship and Networking Opportunities
Scarlet Student Managed Fund 2026 Annual Conference
The Rutgers Scarlet Student Managed Fund is organizing its first annual conference. This conference is a fast-paced, high-density event that brings together top executives, macroeconomists, and fund managers. The theme of the conference is “The Resilience Pivot”.
Scarlet Fund students will organize and lead panel discussions featuring a select group of 8-10 thought leaders for a 'Davos-style' exchange. The goal is to provide the $1M+ Scarlet Student Managed Fund with a strategic roadmap for 2026 and beyond, while offering everyone (students, alums, and employers) a platform to engage with the top 1% of the university's finance talent.
